Cirrostratus Clouds



Height: Cirrostratus Clouds are always above 5000m and below 13000m. They are classified as in the high cloud group.

Shape: Cirrostratus Clouds are thin sheet-like clouds that tend to cover the whole sky.

Color: The sun can shine through these clouds and when you see the sun through Cirrostratus clouds it looks as though the sun has a halo around it.

Weather: These clouds usually come 12-24 hours before a rain or snow storm.
